Sophia's The Olana Wedding in Hickory Creek, TX | Dallas Wedding Photographer

Some weddings feel grand from the first minute. Sophia's day at The Olana — the French-style estate in Hickory Creek — was one of those.

The Olana doesn't look like Texas. A French-inspired mansion on 40 acres — all stone, domes, and manicured gardens. It photographs like somewhere in the French countryside.

The ceremony happened right in front of the mansion, under an arch of white flowers. Guests filled the rows; the couple stood with the whole estate behind them.

After the ceremony we stole a few minutes around the grounds — the kind of light and stonework that does half the photographer's work.

The small things, done right: the rings — the details guests touch and remember.

Inside, the ballroom was set and waiting — chandeliers, candlelight, tables ready for the night.

And the night ended the way it should: a sparkler send-off under the lit-up mansion, with everyone lining the path to cheer them out.
